It’s been nearly 13 years since Jeff and I graduate and fell in love. I truly cannot believe that much time has passed since I was a high school student. Somedays it feels like it was just yesterday. It’s hard not to miss it. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely don’t miss school. My guess is I skipped more than I actually attended that final year of school. But, I miss being an 18 year old. Because, when you’re 18, chances are you haven’t been hurt by the world yet. You have this truly beautiful naivety. Anything is possible. The world is your oyster. You dreams seem so close; just around the corner.
Maybe that’s why I love Senior Photography so much. I love capturing the spirit of a high school senior; so fearless – so excited to grow up!
We did a senior session for Griffin’s older brother, Tommy, two years ago. We always love when a family comes back to The Mullikin Studio with younger siblings. Griffin was such a genuine, kind hearted young man. He plays soccer at Olathe Northwest and hasn’t quite narrowed down exactly what school he’ll attend next fall. We took Griffin to all of our favorite spots to shoot in Kansas City. It was one of those sessions that we lost track of time, because we were truly enjoying ourselves! Congratulations Griffin! We can’t wait to see where life takes you!
